Mashable : Sociable Web 2.0
Jan 18th, 2007 by admin
Welcome back.
Is it now time to explore what widgets your now able to seed your project sites with ?
You’ve probably heard of the term web 2.0 and the fuss that the effects of an increasingly social web is having upon the hedgemony of educational pedgogy.
Here are some new tools to investigate.
Can you imagine what it’s going to be like when Beebo, Facebook, YouTube and the zillion other web world wonders do finally get through the DET firewall ? Will we be ready for it all and are we already way behind the u-generation of the connected web ? Are these online environments part of the workplace and do they really have any educational value ?
My question is; can we ignore and block it out any longer ?
To get a grasp on what this might mean for you as an educator , trainer, connectivist then check out Mashable - a link contained in some information forwarded to me by Heather Ferguson here at ICVET.
If your looking for a little more home grown account of what constitutes a mashed web interface then check out Chris at Superuser. It is evident that we have a new web growing like a virus ready to Multiply our posts, entertain new audiences and engage learners in the space that they frequent within.
Who said MSN is dead ?
