E-learning from the movers and shakers - community

One of my roles is NSW rep on the Framework’s Community Engagement project; what a pleasure that is. I guess my community education background secured my position, and it’s great to drift around the edges of true community based e-learning.
I’ve just put up a short recording from their induction day which includes a brief introduction from Mary Hannan- project Manager, Josie Rose - project coordinator, and each of this year’s teams. I urge you to have a listen.

I’ve already made comment regarding the notion of ‘industry’ in models of future Framework directions. As you listen to the podcast consider this. If industry engagement is to be the focus in 2007 then shouldn’t we be focusing from the ground up, from the individuals in industry and their needs rather than from a top down approach? What can we learn from these Community Engagement projects in terms of addressing the needs of learners in industry?
