Feedraider

I’ve been using Bloglines for quite a while now as my aggregator and while it’s done it’s job admirably, I’m now finding it pretty clumsy. I’ve stuck with it because I watch so much. I really don’t want to pull just a few feeds into a start page and then have to also visit Bloglines for others. And I certainly don’t want to add to my already HUGE email traffic!
Today I discovered Feedraider and while I want to test it with a large amount of content, I’m liking the look of it. Being a really visual person I just love the interface which is clean and logical with a range of options available. You can arrange your feeds by creating pages. If I DO make the switch I’ll rethink how I organise things but it seems that you can have as many pages as you like. By hovering over a feed title in the DECK layout you get a text box summary of the content.
I’m still discovering the options but it seems easy to:
- reorganise the order of feeds
- adjust the number shown
- adjust the display mode
- customise the CSS template
- format the display with dividers
I’m just getting beginning to add feeds in but you are welcome to have a look at my account as an example.
What do you think? Has anyone used it over time? Do you have another aggregation favourite?
Finally, can anyone tell us what the IMPORT OPML option offers?
Hi Robyn,
Thansk for this, I stumbled across your FeedReader site the other day. I went to netvibes for the same reasons.
