Dont Be A Tosser

I see the sign written everywhere I go and it used to relate to rubbish, or cigarette butts and then it progressed to beer drinking and driving. In fact I’ve even heard it uttered from the mouth of our very Prime Minister in the context of silly footballers who thought that common law wasn’t written for them also.
Considering that it has been used in esteemed company alongside “bloke” and “idiot” both of which appear in the English dictionary lets explore the context a little further.
I’m noticing that the term is being used to dissuade others from committing acts of social indecency like foul mouthed remarks, smart arsed jibes back at others progressing knowledge and fools who think that by holding fort in low places and block access to content substantiates a working profile.
After ten long years of working in the justice sector I’ve also learned to pick out the “tossers” from the innovators, the Manager’s from the mill-stream and the monkeys from magicians.
May today be known as the non - “tossers” day.
I spot champions rising from the midst of NSW LearnScope DESPITE their ongoing issues and I spot NSW LearnScopian’s picking up and using detritus which looks more like e-learning manure than everyday rubbish…..seems more often than not the good stuff is on the outside.
Our e-learning gardens are lush with innovation and for those of you still clamouring for places in the Regional Events may your issues be resolved quickly and with speed and efficiency. I thank the email fairy for continued access to my own internal workings and connections with you all in what would appear to be APEC madness.
Wish me luck getting home on Friday night in Sydney airport. Perhaps this time I’ll only be frisked once instead of what occurred the other night .
