Sharing knowledge
Sep 14th, 2007 by robynjay
Today I’ve been down in Adelaide with my Capability Building Program leader hat on visiting Kim Edgars at Education.au . Kim manages the Knowledge Sharing Services project for the Framework, one of 3 projects that falls under the CBP along with LearnScope and the e-learning networks .
Education.au is located in an ex-corporate office suite in Dulwich and as I toured the thoughtfully designed workspaces allowing for individuals and team collaboration, the well equipped meeting rooms and social spaces I was green with envy! How different to the rabbit warrens of the public sector!
Kim’s small team looks after the support services for the VET and ACE components of EdNA Groups (have you been in lately – very cool RSS widget capabilities now), and the Framework website. Check out their great VET Events service (with RSS feed).
In looking toward 2008 and planning for the transition tot he next Strategy, Kim is focusing on firming up website functionality and ensuring resources remain accessible. We have a meeting of minds planned to discuss issues round thee database and also how we ensure the sustainability of the social software spaces used by projects nationally.
A big task but one we’re taking in hand.
