Yesterday Kim Edgar (Knowledge Sharing Services manager) and Framework staff from all States/Territories and from across most Projects gathered at 1 Oxford St to discuss the future of Framework related products, resources and online spaces, given the end of the Framework in its current iteration. There was technical and philosophical consensus sought. My job was to facilitate.
We kicked the day off with a one hour presentation/discussion with Dave Pollard of ‘How to save the World’ blog fame. I found it a great session that informed our conversations for the remainder of the day. You can access the Adobe Connect recording here.

At the end of a project it is not the products that are remembered by the people and how they have ‘infected’ others with their knowledge and passion. It is people who add value to content; it’s the connections not the collections.
Dave reminded us of the words of Procol Harum who scribed…
“The words have all been writ’ by one before me, we’re taking turns in trying to pass them on”
Of course one issue very close to our hearts is what happens to this blog in 3 months time.
Jo informed us about Pandora - an Australian libraries web archive service - and it set our minds at rest somewhat. Any thoughts?
